Quotidian Data (QD) is a research institute focused on advancing understanding of the socio-technical layers of knowledge production and stewardship especially related to data. We are a Kenyan not-for-profit think tank headquartered in Nairobi with an office in San Francisco.
We are working towards a future where AI and data technologies are co-designed, developed, and governed in and by the places and people targeted. We are interested in data processes that restore, renew and revitalize communities’ own resources of knowledge, energy and materials, supporting them to be more resilient to economic and environmental shocks.
