Critical Commentary

TM: The global COVID 19 pandemic has sliced the lives of people like a hot knife to butter. During times like these it is the most vulnerable in the society that often times bear the brunt. This has been the reality for the residents of Kibera who despite knowing the threat that COVID 19 presents on their lives. Toilet paper fights in supermarket stories with people scrambling to stock up food reserves for Kibera residents remains a pipe dream and it's the work of heroes within Kibera like Santos who distributes food to resident's children that are at the face of enabling life to be more bearable for Kibera residents. Social distancing, stay at home is simply not an option for residents here. This pandemic has brought more into light the difference in realities.
